Welcome to decock.org

Hello visitor, if you happened to stumble on this site there's very little here that will help you kill your time.

For those of you who are here because they are looking for something, here's what available:

Ginspect : Generate Inspect

Ginspect is een online tool that generates INSPECT filter code or a TCPDUMP filter expression from your input.
The main use for the INSPECT filter code is the fw monitor command, a built in packet logger (aka sniffer) on Checkpoint Firewall-1 with specific firewall functionality.
The TCPDUMP filter expression is not only handy for running TCPDUMP, but also as a capture filter for a sniffer like Wireshark.

A quote (not from me) from the fw1-gurus mailinglist describes Ginspect as:
If you want to learn how to use fw monitor, then you definitely need to take a look at www.decock.org/ginspect. This web site generate fw monitor filters or tcpdump filters. It's an excellent tool.

Electricity symbols for Inkscape

When I was looking for some software to draw up the electrical plans for the house, I didn't really find anything that scratched my itch. So, I fired up Inkscape, rolled my own symbols and drew the plans just the way I wanted them.
It can't be all bad, since I got the plans (with the actual electrical installation) certified :)

For those DIYers out there, you can freely re-use (see license info below) them, and I've included my plans to get you started.

Ampdarok (Amarok + MPD, get it?) is really alpha code at the moment, and I wasn't sure whether I'd even publish it, but when my wife (who's not a geek) first used it, she said 'Hey, this looks really nice. You should Open Source it'.
Now there's a women I can love :)

I'll try to get a first release up by the end of the year (2008). Watch this space if you're intrested, or drop me a line at joost [that symbol you always see in an email address] decock.org
